I sent you a PM, and i am stoked to finally have a potential partner. i doubt my truck is as close to ready as yours, but we'll get er done. i really wanna put explorerforum out there though, as far as paint/stickers go on my truck....

I hear you about wanting to get the explorerforum name out there. I planned on putting a sticker on my explorer when it done.

Now we just need to get a few more people hopefully. At least people to help us out at races when that time comes.

Yeah, i don't think the pit crew will be a problem, but people willing to pony up dough and time is a different issue during the build......

I am not really looking for people to help me with the money part cause I will figure that out some how. Thats another reason why I dont have any sponsors is cause I dont want to have to owe someone or be expected to do things or race a certain amount. I am just doing this for fun.

But it would be cool to find and get help with the building of the explorer.

Ha ha ha How about we start with the 2008 Baja 1000. Seeing how long it will take us to get these explorers done.

OH i'm not talking about participating, (well i might do it on my bike, but haven't trained at all and would probably pass out in about 4 hours), but i meant just attending. going to tech with cameras......and scoping out the setups, making connections, etc. we should talk froader into playing bus driver.....

This is the exact boat i am in, little money but can put in lots of sweat equity

otherwise there would'nt be much else to stop me from doing this

Well come on out. no reason you can't get in on the building parties too. we are gonna pool our money and resources, and build cages. it's looking like february time frame for that, so start saving pennies!

Ive thought about the 3100 class for my explorer quite a few times.

LOl as a matter of fact i was just sitting here reading the rulebook when i found this thread.

It seems like the rules for 3100 class are pretty strict as to modifications to suspension and other things. Ive never ventured into building any sort of offroad race vehicle, but id sure love to try.

Yeah 3100 is a real tough class, very competitive. i was just gonna do 7300 safari prerunner. it's more of a "run what you brung" type of class.

for an explorer 3100 seems to make the most sense. Especially if you have a v-6 like i do lol. But your right there are other classes that could be a blast with an ex.

i like 7300, because i can run a solid axle truck. i can do whatever i want with my engine. it's just way more freedom.

That makes sense. If i were to build something im on a very limited bidget so id have to stay out of the unlimited classes to even hope to compete lol.
