So I've been gathering parts n things for my engine swap and I have a few questions about cams. My truck MAY be lifted on 33's with 4.56 gears, so I want a nice powerful 5.0. What do you all think of slapping the Comp Cams Xtreme Energy XE270HR cam in there? It would likely be partnered (further down the road) with some AFR 165/185cc heads, the complete "K-Kit" from comp cams (springs, push rods, lifters, etc.), and some 1.7 Magnum roller rockers. The goal is a peppy daily driver with the capability for some light to moderate off road use, if I decide to lift her up. But for now, I need to make plans for when my surprisingly reliable SOHC poops out.
