Stall speed for a 1997 4R70W is as follows:

Expo/Mounty 2438-2838

Mark VIII 2355-2746

I think the last time that I did a brake stand to estimate the torque converter stall speed, the tires broke loose around 2500-2600 rpm, and that was bone stock. I tried to do a test today, but the ground apparently was too wet the the drizzle and humidity since I get nothing but smokey mud tires and rubber on the side of the vehicle. On days like today I can forget about stabbing the throttle and expect to move anywhere.

Your welcome!

What research project are you working on ??

well, I'm trying to learn as much as I can about the 5.0 drivetrain for my own knowledge. My truck has a few issues that I'd like to resolve and the shops are of no help, so I wanna learn as much as I can personally.

I guess it follows with the "if you want something done right" saying.
