I need to know the length of the stock driveshaft, from U-joint to U-joint (Center to Center).

1996-2001 Ford Explorer/Mercury Mountaineer 2WD 5.0L

I bought one, and it doesn't have the right Slip-yoke on it. So I am wondering what it is that I have. If the LENGTH is correct, I can just buy a new Slip Yoke. Those are only like $30.....but if it's the wrong length AND it's the wrong Slip Yoke, it's gotta go back.

I need to know this too! I can tell you the distance on a 4WD shaft with a 4406 is 35.5 inches! I know...what the hell good is that...

LOL..

I have a 2WD 4.0L/M5OD-R1 driveline, and a AWD 5.0L/4404 driveline sitting here....and this other driveline that I bought, but isnt't the right one...

The driveshaft I recieved is 51".

I know it's not a Mustang driveshaft, but I think it's a Explorer V-6 Driveshaft.

Thanks,
Ryan

Just for future reference: 52.5" is the length of the driveshaft from a 1996 to 2001 5.0L/4R70W 2WD Explorer.
