50 Horsepower For 5 Cents............

Easiest way to do this is to open the plate all the way like with a socket and that will leave enough slack in the cable to get down there in put the zip ties where the slack is on the cable connection on the gas pedal.

Did this today on my 94 Explorer Limited. It has 181,000 miles. There was a lot of slack in the cord. I added two zip ties to the cord and it's now firm. The most noticeable difference for me thus far is the idling is much better. I had a lot of problems idling at around 500 rpms where I was thinking the car was going to die and now it seems to be a more study 800-900.
 






I did this mod on my 2000 Ranger 4.0 OHV & it made a good deal of difference in the throttle response.
 






My 1997 explorer XLT 4L SOHC at 170k miles has virtually no stretch.... How?

Im going to take a look at this when i change out my air intake kit.
