I've searched but could not find anything on how to remove and install bushings in general
I've looked on line and have found "bushing driver kits" for an average cost off $400.00 There has got to be another, cheaper alternative. Any help is appreciated. I am documenting the rebuild process so that I can share it with everyone here,
so I will give credit to all that help with tips and techniques for various procedures.

Thank you,

JS

I have always used a bushing driver set, most bushings have the be installed below flush, so you have to create something that would look just like a bushing driver to keep them in straight and flat and not to damage the edge during installation.

To remove the bushing, i just use a hammer and a screwdriver or a punch/chisel.

Thank you JK080, I was able to remove them using the same method as you used and ended up borrowing a bushing driver set from my local Pep Boys to install the new ones. They (Pep Boys) will let you borrow specialty tools as long as you give them a deposit. Which they refund (fully) when you return the item. So it ends up being a completely free service.

I almost feel stupid for creating the thread in the first place for it is something that I should of just known intuitively. I guess I will attribute my hesitation and inquiry to being overly careful and not wanting to create even more work for myself.

Hopefully this thread will assist someone else looking for an answer too.

Thanks again and Happy Holidays,

JS
