I'm going to pick up the VDO Vision pressure and temp gauges:

Electrical senders, great price, good brand.

Most likely mount them on the pillar. Probably end up putting oil pressure, oil temp, and water temp gauges above the rear view mirror, mounted where the map lights/thermometer/compass would be , had my truck had that ;)

Yea, only problem is understanding them ;)

If there isnt room for the sender on the line pressure test port, I THINK I can use a mechanical sending unit kit, and just run a short line to a place where there is room for the sender.

Yea, that's basically what I plan on doing =]

You could connect a flexible adapter to the port to reroute the plumbing for the sending unit.

Im wondering if the nylon tubing that is commonly used for mechanical pressure gauges will be able to deal with the high pressure of the transmission. The 'install kits' look to contain all the fittings I would need to mount the pressure sender remotely.
