5R55E trans question

I have a 99 explorer 4x4 v6 and it will only go in reverse when its cold, once it heats up no reverse just a spinning grinding sound. I have been told its a 5R55E transmission my question is what other years/ models will be a direct swap into my 99

Interresting problem! Does it seem to "pull" properly, move the vehicle normally, in reverse when it's cold? imp

yes it does and all forward gears work fine
