Ok here is my prob. I bought a 07 explorer it had a trans problem. It slipped off the start. Checked fluid first with no fix. Next I pulled the pan and cleaned the solenoid pack with same results. Solenoid pack was wet in the electrical connector (probably from ac) cleaned still no fix. I decided to pull the trans and overhaul. I found zero damage inside the trans. I put new converter, 3 bands, sonnax valve, foward piston, seals, solenoid pack. I also did the inter/od servo bores with brass sleeves while tranny was out. Put it all back together. The slip is gone but I have a 2-3 hard shift and a 3-4 negative shift or flare. I changed the valve body and a second solenoid without any change. The wrench light will not go off and I do t see the o/d light even when I press the o/d button on the shifter (was the same before I pulled the trans as well). I'm at the end of my rope with this thing. I pulled the codes:

P0748-pressure control solenoid "a" electrical

P0960 powertrain

P1000 powertrain

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

I assume you did a google search on those codes?

Causes for this P0748 transmission code may include: Defective Pressure Control Solenoid Dirty or contaminated fluid Dirty or clogged transmission filter Defective Transmission Pump Defective Transmission Valve Body Restricted hydraulic passages Corroded or damaged connector Faulty or damaged wiring Faulty PCM

Sounds like you have checked everything mechanical, next step would be to check wiring and PCM.....

If you have had water in that connection I would recommend replacing that connector, it is available by itself. I done this many times with this transmission/vehicle, the AC drain dumps condensation water right on top of it, it's a great design.

We attach a hose to the drain and route the water down past the pan on everyone of these we do.
