5spd shifter boot

anyone know about a shifter extension? i got a body lift and id like to get a shifter extension cause the shifter boot is out of place. any help?

I don't know if you can get a shifter extension. I have a 3" body lift on my '93 XLT and all I did was cut the plastic ring that attaches to the floor to make room for the stick. Works pretty good but it is short. I would like to get an extension for mine too. I have been thinking of just cutting it and then welding in a 3" peice of pipe, then bend it so it won't hit the console anymore. Let me know what you come up with. I would be interested in any info you may have.

Dick Cepek makes a 3" extention for the 5 speed Ranger. It isn't listed for the explorer but it works just fine. I have had mine for a couple years and it works great. I wasn't very expensive either, I can't remember how much though.

did it solve your shifter boot problem though? thats my main concern i can deal with it being short but id like to have the shifter boot in the original place. thanks for the info
