5th Shock

Is there a specific name for the 5th shock absorber on the passenger side? Mine desperately needs replacing but I don't know what to look for. Is it just a standard shock?

I think napa calls it a rear vibration dampener

Are there as many choices/varieties (differences in ride) of these 'dampeners' as there are standard shock absorbers?
