6x9 in a 5x7 hole?????

Is there any way I can fit 6x9s in my 5x7 holes other than cutting and drilling new holes in my door panels?

it will take serious modification, not just plug and play.
you can only fit 5X7, 6X8, or components in a plate (5 1/4, 6 1/2).

when I redid my speakers I found this black piece that is holding the 5x7. if you take that off you might be able to fit 6x9's the hole does look big enough but im not positive.

I have done a few of them in the front doors, but I needed to cut the opening bigger in the door. You do have to watch for depth thought.
I managed to squeeze 8.s in the door on one but that was alot of custom work.
