The clutch master cylinder in my '88 Ranger has quit working and the auto parts stores all say that a rebuild kit is not available. Auto Zone gets $60 for a new MC but why should I pay $60 when I only need $5 worth of seals?

Does anyone know of a source for hydraulic seals?

They don't offer rebuild kits, because you can't rebuild an aluminum master cylinder. In the old days the cylinders were made of cast iron and could be honed out and resealed (rebuilt). All modern vehicles (since the 80's) use aluminum cylinders and they can't be honed like the old cast units (honeing will actually damage the cylinder), therefore, rebuild kits are not available.
