Hi there, I'm new here. I just bought a 91 explorer to be our off road runner. Apparently previous owner changed transmission to a newer 5 spd from a 2wd and used the old extension housing and transfer case. Problem is I have no reverse. I'm wondering if the different year parts would cause that or transmission is no good? It'll sort of go in gear but then just spins on the synchro. Any information would be great before I replace the transmission. Thanks.
