91 Ranger 4.0L motor ticks then doesn't then ticks then doesn't.

I have a Ranger 4.0 and when i start it, it ticks for couple seconds then stops starts ticking again then stops so on and so on and after it warms up for a bit it doesnt tick at all??? it runs fine and no extra gas consumption no oil burning and im lost is there anyone that might know what this might be??

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread to the Ranger section. Fuel injectors make ticking noises when they are cold. Did you check your oil pressure to see if it's low?
