I am working on a friends 88 eb bronco II. He has recently did an engine swap with an engine out of a 92 explorer. He switched all of the wiring harnasses and everything that would plug up. My dad and i have all of the wiring diagrams for both of the trucks. We wired everything together as it seems it should be. we had to splice the trucks wires into the explorer harnass where the harnass plugs up to the explorer body. so basically we have a big plug with all of the pins and we have to figure out what we need to get this thing to fire. it will turn over but we cannot get fire. I desperately need to know what all we need power on to make this thing fire. any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Bryon,

When I do engine swaps like that I usually go to helminc.com and order the EVTMs and or wiring diagrams for both the donor vehicle and the one I'm working on. As you noticed there's a lot of wires in EFI and trying to figure them all out without wiring diagrams can be tough.

Sorry I know this doesn't help you right now but it's an option if you come up with nothing else.

start with basics. tripple check your fuel lines also, remember the return line comes through the pressure regulator.

Fuel pressure?
spark?

It is not clear if you have already done the wiring, and it wont fire, or if you have not done the wiring yet and need to know how.

Sounds like you are in over your head. The wiring can be tricky, this is a 88 BII and a 92 OHV 4.0. the 88 BII should have 6 or so plugs at the firewall (near brake booster)
You need to map out the wires on the BII, then match them up to the 92 4.0L's power distribution and PCM harness.

Good luck!
