Hi everyone, i have the following problem when going from 4x2 to 4x4:
The engagement is normal, driving in 4x4 is normal as well, Only when the truck encounters a heavy load or a very steep hill, its when I hear this loud bang noise: similar to hitting a 4x4 piece of wood with a beseball bat. its like something slipping than it catches again. any clues to what this might be? the truck in general has all the stock parts, nothing aftermarket has been done to it. transfer case has never been opened. truck has 138k miles. thanks for your help on this.
