im also a noob on this forum, but i have a 94 ranger with a 97 right front fender and it went on with no problem.

as far as the 4wd goes, does your ranger have manual or auto hubs ???

my truck has warn manual locking hubs ! what more do you know about the four wheel peel low range issue?like i said before it will go into 4 hi and when i try to put it in low it takes it out of 4 all together! i just changed the pcv valve today and the rubber grommet in the vavle cover appears to not hold the pcv all the way in a so im thinking of getting a new grommet from a scrap yard near my place if theres one there!i also got a rear end leak (nothing dripping just wet) but the new cover that i got doesn't look the same as the stock one does this matter if all the bolts line up?

have u looked at the sticker on the visor are u in nuetrl when u try to put it in4 low i beleive there is an interlock so it has to be in nuetral for it to go into 4 low if it is push button 4x4 ie on the dash

right now it is 27 below outside with wind chill so it is going to warm up 2day and im going to tale somemore on the truck like lower rad hose and rear diff cover and seal so i will try the 4 lo again while im in neutral.im pretty sure i already tryd that! is there any way of finding if the push button for the 4low is faulty or do i keep buyin **** till it fixes!lol

Well i tryd again with the 4x4 and same thing even in neutral.but i was takin my air intake off when i noticed the vacuum motor was all rusted to **** and dont work no more so im going to replace it 2! if i put a different intake on the truck what do i do to compensate the lower intake tube with the vacuum motor with the warm air inlet to my air box?will this screw with emissions cuz i think i gotta get it done again and i don't want to do it twice!!!
