93 Ford Explorer 4.0 engine swap

I have a 1993 Explorer XLT 4.0. I am wondering if I can put a 94 Explorer 4.0 in my 93, are the engines the same? Also, will the 94 4.0 fit the 93 trans for the 4.0?

'91 to '94 4.0's long blocks were all identical. At the very worst, you'll have to strip the '94 down to the long block and swap the '93 accessories over to the '94 engine.
