well now that i got all the other stuff done after my trans swap and lifting...i went up the road for the first time (its been driving in and out of the garage without an issue the last few weeks) i started off easy and i hit about 35mph and my tach was reading about 3-4 grand.... well it urned around to bring it back and i watched it closely it did not shift at all...what should i look for? and trouble shooting i can do? it is full of trans fluid and like i said it goes into drive and reverse fine but going down the road it would not shift...and i have another question too related to my electric t-case...there is a brown wire that enters the t-case clost to the rear output? what is this wire for? mine is broke and i wasnt sure if maybe that could create my issue? thanks in advance...

Check the vacuum line going to the modulator. It's possible that it got disconnected. There is a sticky in the transmissions & transfer cases section on the brown wire mod if you want to read up on it.

sure enough that was disconnected... i took the same small drive and it did shift coming back (at about 2500 rpm) and as i gained more speed it wouldnt shift again even at 3000 rpm with my foot hardly on it? should i still look into other things? will my 33x12.5x15's sfor some reason change my shifting characteristis due to the added weight and ect? and with the brown wire mod thread i could not find anywhere that it mentioned for a first gen?

yes i do understand that the vss will read my speed wrong due to larger tires... but i didnt think that would affect anything but my spedo being off?

no i did not adjust any of those.. it has now been added to my list of things to do. thanks for the help. will post back with changes after i get these done... and is there a good thread on here about adjusting the bands?

thanks alot =D i appreciate the help
