I just want to say that looking through this site the information is fantastic!

Lots of great stuff. I have a similar yet different shift problem than most listed here.

I get a good 1 - 2 shift driving under moderate acceleration when the tranny is cold. It gets progressively worse and even sporatic with the 1 - 2 shift once warmed up. I don't appear to be losing fluid and all other shifts seem normal and strong but on occasion I do get a "valve fluttering" sound.

I am thinking I have a sticky valve or governor issue. This vehicle sat for two years and didn't have the issue before. I put a bottle of Lucas transmission fix into it and it hasn't helped.

HELP!

I forgot to mention that the vacuum mod hose was clear when I checked it. Only the 1 - 2 shift gets worse when it is warmed up. All other shifts seem fine. Should I go after the govenor first, servos, valves or all the above.

I just want to go the right way the first time and not have to be under it more than I have to.
