I took my 94 Explore auto hubs apart today and the outer ( inside the wheel center cap )assembly looks identical to the inner assembly ,same plastic body and metal thing with litle triangle points on it , same 2 little coils of wire circling around the outside , everything ..I'm afraid to use an inner to put into the outer center cap in case I'm wrong . I still have 2 inners on a wreck I have for parts Can someone help please ?
Also I understand the auto hubs are a major problem on these Explores ,When I phoned the local part store they said they only sell the outers ,Is it only the outers that ever cause a problem ??
