94 Ranger. Fuel Pump won't start.

Hey Folks, I have a 94 Ranger I replaced the fuel pump because it would intermitently not run when the ignition was activared after several months of flawless operation I'm having the same problem . I turn the key and sometimes the pump starts and sometimes it doesn't just a ckicking noise I can't narrow the problem down.

The problem is most likely the fuel pump relay.

Fuel pump problem

Changed the relay and the fuel pump when the problem originally occured and the truck ran fine for several months then the same problem cropped up again I feel like I 've narrowed it down to the intertia switch going bad but want to know for sure before I spend the $84 to replace it

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread into the Ranger section. Does the check engine light turn on when you ahve this intermittent issue? If not, then it could be a problem with the PCM relay. You could check the inertia switch with a continuity tester if you suspect it.
