i have found 3 inch lift spindles for 98+ ford ranger from AIM saw the add in one of the fourwheeler mags, actually i think it was OFF ROAD. my question is will these fit the explorer. do the stock spindles have the same part number??? $250 bucks beats the hell out of 500 from procomp
thanks
Jeff

did you ever find out if this can be done? I am looking to lift some ones 96 2wd X (not mine) and was thinking of Spindles.

Actually, i don't think it may work. THe spindles that are only made for explorers are made by the company Bullseye. Whether u get them under the procomp company or get them at camburgs, they are the same spindle made by the same company. I got mine for $395 from 4x4 land. THats the cheapest price i got. Hope that helps.

There are some from a company called AIM they have an add in OFF-ROAD magizine. They are $249. I called and they said they are for a 98+ ford ranger. There number is 1-800-636-6947. if the stock spindles are the same for the explorer and the ranger then they should work. Does anyone know if the ranger and the explorer have the same spindles.
thanks
Jeff

I've called this company but they didn't know if they would work for an Explorer.

I've ordered the spring over perch but haven't got them yet. Their customer service is pretty crappy too & you can't get very much information out of them.

YES!! those are the ones i am talkin about. Does anyone know if the Stock spindles are the same????

anyone..... bueler.... bueler......

I don't know the answer to your question Jeff, but see the thread "connect way three people" under "exploring everything under the sun".

i highly doubt it and would say no the reason being is the 98+ 2wd rangers use a coil spring A-arm suspension so it seem the spindles would be different from the torsion bar suspension
