95 Ex, 4.0 No fuel, no start

Hello and good morning. Our 95 will not start, there is no sound from the fuel pump, the relay was replaced and that worked for a while, also swapped the other two relays, no go. I get a code 542, tried disconnecting the cannon plug at the back of the tank, but still get the code. I checked the inertia switch, it's clean and tight. Could it still be bad? It appears my problem is in the engine compartment and not the pump - I would like to verify this any ideas? - Thanks

Seems like the only thing you haven't replaced is the pump. When's the last time you did a fuel filter? If you have't replaced that thing in awhile (40,000 miles or more) then you may need a new pump. And when you do a new pump, it's best to go ahead and change the filter as well.

Hi Drew, yes I replaced the filter earlier in the spring only has about 5-6k since then.
