95 explorer 4x4 Passenger side ball joint ?

hey all just ordered a new ball joint for the passenger side. I haven't pulled the tire off yet , but it doesn't look like it's the correct one can someone verify this for me?

The upper ball joints on these trucks are not serviceable. You have to replace the control arm. Stock, your passenger side upper control arm came in two pieces. The picture you are displaying is correct IF you still have the stock upper control arms.

There are aftermarket one piece upper control arms available. When it comes time to replace the control arms, most folks replace both sides together and use greaseable ball joints.

that is the correct piece the original came in 2 pieces and when i ordered a replacement from autozone they sold me the whole upper control arm( Both Pieces) since the ball joint is not replaceable. wasnt too hard to replace and i just did the driver the other day( the bolt through the spindle took some heat and a hammer to get out though. ok so if the previous owner of the truck has installed the 1 piece replacement upper control arm then the piece i ordered is incorrect and need to order a 1 piece arm, if that is the case then are the the left and right 1 piece control arms interchangeable? if not where can i order a 1 piece arm?

No, they are not interchangeable.

my 2wd had the same deal but I went with the one piece instead of the two piece. I got mine from Oreilly auto parts. its really simple to install

yeah i was hoping to be able to get one that was less expensive than rockauto cause once i order then convert into US dollars then ship it and drive to border to pick it up it's almost cheaper to get one at a regular parts store up here in ontario.
