1995 Explorer limited 4x4
I have searched and I have found a lot of good information about my Explorer. I have 2 specific questions that I can't really find an answer for.

1) I need new front hub assemblies. They are very expensive, however I found several on Ebay for around $50.00 each. These are supposed to be new parts. Has anyone used these Ebay parts before? am I wasting my money on these parts? They look like new. I can get both hubs for less than one from Autozone.

2) I am converting my Air Ride to a standard suspension. I am going to replace the air shocks with traditional gas filled. I know that you need to do something with the rear leaf springs since the limited model has softer springs. Will Add-a-leafs work fine or do I need to replace the entire spring pack?

Thanks!

Welcome To The Forum! I personally have bought a couple bearings off there for my explorer's past and present and for my g/f's malibu and have no complaints yet.

They are perfect for a 90's Ex.. I wouldn't go buying new ones for those. Actually the ford ones are $50 as well they just charge $300 for them. I bought a pair a while ago and they've been going for tens of thousands of miles with no problems.

Um, I know several members on here have had issues with the eBay hub assemblies going out in as few as under 5k-20k miles... Make sure you get some statement of warranty...

The Timken parts on rockauto are $147 each before forum discount.

My wheel bearings have had there fair share of being roughed around and are holding up great. 1ATony also a forum vendor was selling a pair of hub bearings for I think $175.00

I stand by timken bearings, I use them everywhere
