95 Ranger keyless entry reset

I left the lights on and the battery went dead. Now the keyless entry doesn't work. How do I reset it? I tried turning the key from accessory to off 8 times with no success. Please help.

You are talking about the factory keyless key fobs? Even if the batt goes out they should still work.

Something must have happened when jump starting the vehicle using a power pack. I went home and disconnected the battery for several minutes. After reconnecting the battery the system was working again.
