I am told I need a new radiator for my 95 xlt Explorer

Should I look around salvage yards, the for sale forum here, or
should this be a part I should buy new.

Thanks, This will be my first, but not last, DIY repair job.

I would go new, since there were issues with leaky seams on mid 90s radiators. Think of it this way, if you do it yourself you will save 2 labors, a coolant exchange and radiator installation. No sense trying to cut corners. Try to get a name brand..transpro, visteon, godan...

I highly suggest changing the t-stat too, with a Motorcraft one.

New radiator all the way. Try radiatorbarn.com. Make sure you get the correct dimensions.
