I replaced the original platinums at 140000km (previous owner was not maintenance inclined) with Champion platinums.

I started having severe misfire issues. 20 years ago when I raced moto cross we swore off champions. I started recalling some of the problems we had. So I put standard Bosch plugs in and it ran sweet.

Then I discovered Bosch Platinum / Iridium 4 point Fusion plugs.

Nice.

I took it for a 100km highway run followed by 10km of low range 1st constant uphill.

Perfect.

I couldn't find a match in the Bosch catalogue so I found an Aussie built car that used the same standard plugs and then used the Fusion plugs reccomended for it. F7 (HGR8DQI).

Definate improvement in idle smoothness and feels much smoother when pulling up hill at low revs in any gear.

I'd already used carby cleaner to clean the air flow sensor to get rid of a flat spot and now I'm looking at replacing the oxygen sensors and the Cat when I get an exhaust upgrade done. It's a completely different car to drive now.

Hope this helps someone.
