Need some help please. I have a 1996 Sport with a saggy rear. Is there a spring kit or helper spring to give it a 1 1/2 or so boost without loosing to much of the nice ride? It has a mono spring right now. I have called several places and no one has a solid answer. Thanks for your help.

adapt a 4 door leaf pack to your sport.... or do warrior shackles p/n # WAR-153 .. the shackles are 3" lift shackles which means they lift it 1.5"

War Shacks

I had the same prob. I fixed it using War #153's They gave me 2" of lift , the X rides better , it took about 30 min. and 50 bucks .....

The shackles do make a big difference...I strongly suggest them.

Thanks

Thanks guys for all the info. I will order the shackles and keep on trucking.

I have a 97 Sport, with the Mono leaf spring.
Well i got the War-153's and it was great until the springs flattened out, and are now int eh shape of an "S". Right now im looking for a 4-door leaf pack to correct this problem. Also if you have seen some of the newere Sports, you'll have noticed that they now have a leaf pack instead of a Mono Leaf.

leaf pack

CBoug76 how close of a fit do you think the leaf pack from another X would be? Do you have any info on that? And what year would be the best to pull a leaf pack from? Thanks.

Ralph,
As far as I know, and have been told, the leaf springs from any Explorer will fit, they are all the same length and width. I would say that leaf springs from a Newer Explorer as teh better ones to get since they are newer.

personally i would get an add a leaf kit. i did it and it took care of the infamous explorer rear sag for me.

wait im a retard. you have the mono leaf i dont think that the add a leaf will work. sorry.
