'96 wont start with key!!

Hi!! I have a '96 EB 4L explorer . It wouldnt start today with key , but fortunatly i got it started with remote starter. not sure where to start looking for problem...please help!! Thanks

I had a 95 sport that did the same thing. it happened when i would lock the doors with the remote but unlock them with the key. I guess it disabled the ignition. I was able to start the car with the remote starter. i would say try hitting the unlock button on your remote and then try and starting it.
