96 XLT replacement seats

I recently bought my jewel and LOVE it. I would love to replace the cracked, brokendown seats. They're highbacked auto everything I think. How do I check to see if other seats will fit? My brother is my usual "goto" guy but he was involved in a serious accident 6 months ago and is still on that long road to recovery. I heard of some from a 2DR Sport and mine is a 4DR XLT. Is there any chance they'll fit. What's a reasonable price to offer? Thanks for your input, guess my family just grew as I added more brothers and sisters to guide me

The rear seats are different in the sport vs. the 4 door, the sport rears are narrower. Your options are plenty, if you find a 4 door ex, mounty, etc., you can swap them, and some Ford seats can be removed from the track to mount to yours, but the leather will not match. Best bet is to find an Ex with similar seats and swap them in. The Limited seats have different wiring harnesses than the XLT/Sport seats.

Any luck with the seats? I have a 1995 Ranger XLT and would like to find a replacement driver side seat. I can't find anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm in a similar boat as the OP, but I want to replace the two fronts with the 60/40 split from a ranger, keeps the muts in the back seat better. Anyone, every tried this. I am guessing as they are a similar/same frame this is possible but I am not sure. Guess I could go the the local wrecking yard and do some measuring, but if someone can save me the trip it would be appreciated.
