97 5.0 - how to/ how long to remove timing cover- water pump, broken bolt

Ford calls for thread sealant on the bolts
Many people use anti seize
Well done this is not an easy repair
All the bolts in the 302 that reach the water jacket or are exposed to the elements can snap like twigs not fun in the truck

I always change the oil after the timing cover repair,‘don’t need any coolant in the crank case

I'm in sacramento and 64 with medical issues. As I mentioned, it had a water leak, so I was running straight water which makes everything inside rust, since you don't want to keep leaking the green stuff out everyday and it needed it almost every couple days.
My 97 was given up to a 47 Willys Truck project. I also have a 53 Willys Panel Wagon with a 2000 2-door chassis and jaguar 3.0 v6 drivetrain for it.
Once my panel is done, it will replace the 98 for its tow duty. Hoping I can finish all these projects, many others, trying to reduce my car count from a peak of 24 to now just 11, can never finish them all. Enjoy building but repairs when I had my lift it was ok, now too hard to crawl under things.

@nimblemotors Some days I feel older than others. Just over 5 years ago I had a mild stroke. One carotid artery was 99% clogged. 5 months later, Drs put in a stint. All blood flow is good now.
We all have to watch the heat.
I have been running mostly water in our '97 4.0 SOHC 4 dr that I knew that I wanted to tear into it again and install a new pump. It is time to drain everything out of it and fill it up with 100% new antifreeze. But a month from then, some will have to come out to add more straight af/coolant to get it juiced back up to 60% antifreeze. 50/50 used to be sufficient for our climate but now that we have been having extreme climate shifts, we have much colder deep freeze cold spells that we don't even have outdoor winter clothes for.
I look forward to having my car count down to 24. I won't even say how many that I have. 11 would be a dream.
At work we didn't even get a 4 post lift until I was 59. It was long overdue. It is the first thing going in a proposed building at home.
All summer, we have been trying to sell a mid '80s IROC roller project. Where are the Chevy guys? It needs to sell to be able to fix the next one to sell. I almost have my '97 MM 5.0 "Tow Mo" back together. It is a long story. Tow Mo
