97 mountaineer 302 headers ?

Hello,
It seems nobody makes a header for the 97 302
explorers with the 302 in it. Has anybody found a set anywhere or has anyone made another header work.
I know it is because of the gt40p heads that are on the Mountaineer & Explorers. I know Ford has headers for the mustangs with p heads. Any help would be appreciated. I think one of my stock ones is cracked.

the Ford Motorsport ones are your only option.

first, you need to find out if you have GT-40 or GT-40p heads. 96's and some 97's have regular GT-40 heads. there will be a large "GT" stamped on the passenger side head. if there is a "GTP" stamping, you have the p's.

if you have regular GT-40's, then the FMS headers are bolt on swap.

if you have the GT-40p's, the headers will still bolt on, but you will either need to ditch the EGR or weld on a fitting for the EGR tube.

the P mustang headers have been tried here before, and do not work.
