I'm going to be taking the door panel off the door this weekend in order to fix the inside door handle (doesnt open up door anymore). Also the lock mechanism inside isnt unlocking door...

Any help going into this is appreciated. Will update this thread

I just fixed mine today. Don't waste your time unless you have replacements. I got them from pick n pull and and they are great. The old ones if they are sticking out a bit are toast. I tried to fix them but gave up. I paid 12.00 for booth handles and swapped them out. Took about 10 minutes per door to do.

Its just the driver's side inside handle and the lock on the drivers side.

Having trouble still.. got the door panel off and now managed to accidently pull a rod off the door lock mechanism inside. See picture1.. Cant get it back on.

Cant really locate the problem. I can get a new inside handle which broke. But I cant locate the root issue: the door not unlocking w the key fob or the key. It works after maybe a million tries. Its something w the motor or the linkage. I dont see how I can get to the motor , its on the bottom corner of the inside of the door I beleive. See picture2.

Im debating whether to hold out and see if I can get parts from pull-a-part and install and fix myself , which I dont have confidence in. Or tell Mom she has to take it to a shop. :0 Not sure how much it will cost.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I think this is a common issue in these cars. I did a google search and came up w a few walk thru's but not understanding them right now.
