97 radio swap

Went to buy a ftermarket plug for the stock wiring harness for my 97 explorer. Ended up having to get 1 to fit a 98. All wired up but speakers wont work. Does this mean i have a amp some where. Is there any way to fix this problem. Speakers will not play but radio works ???? Any help would be appreciated.

You probably have the "Premium Sound" radio which has a separate amp. I'm posting the schematic for the basic radio and for the "Premium Sound" radio.
