What do the colors on the rear axle for? I'm trying to wire a Dakota Digital to my gauge cluster for the speed cable and I do not know what the red and green wire stand for?

What year is your truck?
Why are you installing Dakota digital?

I have installed several of them and can help you

The light green/black and red/pink wires from the differential speed sensor, produce a low voltage AC pulse. It is a passive, inductive coil which senses teeth on a reluctor ring. The ABS control module translates this into an RPM signal output on it's VSS Out pin.

and when installing the dakota digital speedometer calibration device you want to tap into the speed sensor wires AFTER the ABS so you do not cause issues with the ABS brakes

You do NOT want to change the signal from the wheel speed sensors to the abs computer, instead you want the dakota to send output to the dash and PCM ONLY

ABS is gone/removed/deleted
Have the diff sensor and a Dakota digital ecd-200bt and I need to figure out what the 2 sensor wires do so I can figure out how to hook it up

In that case, looks like the hookup might be on this page under the text "I have a two wire pulse generator":

Thats where I am at but the diagram says black and white but I have green and red.

The diagram can't possibly predict what any random OEM would use for wire colors. Black and white are just two generic colors used as a token example. Polarity does not matter since it is an AC signal. I would ignore the wire color difference, hook it up and then see about calibration.

exactly

you might find this helpful when setting up the dakota
