"DRIVER ERROR - BIG Time!"

I was coming out of the Gas Station the other day and the car changed from Petrol to Gas. (LPG Conversion) and as usual it sort of stalls a bit SO I stepped on the brake pedal to stop her rolling back into the cars behind me. ONLY I stood HARD on the gas pedal! OH DEAR! She did not like that! Five and a half thousand revs later NO DRIVE! NOTHING!

So question is WHAT did I do (no not what did I do WRONG, I already know that bit :D) I am hoping against hope itself I suppose! It is the swash plate?? Is that the right thing I am thinking off? Sits in the Torque Converter? OR does anyone think it may be one of the pumps in the box I've stuffed? Hard to tell I know from several thousand miles! But any help would be good as at present I am thinking of simply breaking her and starting again!

Swash plate?? Never heard of that. You didn't say if it was 2WD or 4WD? If it's 4WD you may have a transfer case problem.

Sorry obviously I call it something different to you :) I mean the "flex" plate? I think now I have looked? And I thought ALL North Face Explorers were 4x4's?? Anyway it is a 4x4 model. And I think by process of elimination I have decided it must be the flex plate which has probably gotten itself a new #######? I.E. it has been RIPPED out! By the process of passing 5,000 RPM through it while stood still! :D:D:D

Remove the starter a totally failed swash plate won't be hard to check.
Personally I doubt that it failed.

Mmm, seems to go against all that I have managed to read thus far Pop?? But as you say removing the starter will show it or not!

Appreciate the banter friend!
