I have a coolant loss when my engine is running.
No foam or green fluid in the oil or tranny fluid. It appears to leak from the passenger side near the tire.
I filled the resivoir to the cold line, drove about 10km and it was dried up. Let it cool (assuming it would come back to the line) and it remained dry.
I heard of coolant dye, and can't find it anywhere, is there something that will substitue that I can use a black light on to detect the cause of the leak?
My temp gauge was stuck on cold and heat was working, mechanic said it was the thermostat, so I had it replaced a year ago along with the sensor, problem solved, until now...
