My cam position sensor went out recently and I need to know if it is a 2 or a 3 prong. it is a 99 explorer 5.0 2wd automatic....

Kevi. The cam sensor should be a 3 prong. Here is a borg-warner part number. your parts store should be able to cross it. BWD part # css804
