So, I got into a little scrapey scrape accident in a parking lot today.

Really quite bummed. It took out my drivers parking lights and slightly bent up and scraped my grill and bumper. But, ahh well, it just means a chance to do some mods. :D

I've already ordered clear corners and diamond cut headlights, but I'm starting to think about the options for the body work.

I intend to simply repaint and maybe modify the grill, and repaint the bumper, getting rid of the chrome and replacing it with the "top" body color.

I'd also like to add an airdam, but I'm hesitant to spend ~$300 shipped for a strip of fiberglass.

Has anyone used anything else?

Maybe an airdam from a ranger?

Maybe a modified airdam from a wider vehicle like an F150?

Or should I just suck it up, and buy the EE airdam?

I agree the air dam is too expensive.

I have tried for years to come up with something but have not :(

Indeed, the EE airdam is way too expensive, but it looks ( and works ) so good.

just rub my nose in it Al...

I wanted to take a 96 Mustang Cobra front bumper and mold it to my girlfriends mountaineer before it got painted but oh well. The stock bumper looks good enough for now anyway.

Yeah, I have to agree that it looks great.

I guess I'll just have to suck it up and buy the EE airdam. I was thinking, since I'm in southern california that I could drive out and maybe save the shipping fee's, but I'm sure that fuel would more than make up the difference.
