Anyone have pictures of the 99 Cobra wheels on an explorer? Any fit issues?

Also for a 4x2 XLT (96) what size tire won't rub on a 17x8" rim?

And lastly -- do I need to buy sport truck tires or can I get regular passenger tires for it? I suspect weight might have some bearing but I'm not sure. I live in SoCal so rain, snow, etc isn't an issue.

thanks.

there are a lot of people here with cobra R rims.
try doing a search for cobra r.

what size tires are you looking for? do you want big tires?/ low profile?

the cobra R rims are 17X9"

the difference between truck and passenger tires is a stiffer sidewall. you can use passenger car tires.

Not the cobra R's - the 1999 Cobra rims --

here's a picture:

I'm thinking of something like a 275-55-17

What I'd like to know more importantly is if I have to use a light truck tire? Don't do any offroading, and no snow. Whats the load rating I'd need for a "P" tire ?
100? 102?

thanks

Those 99 cobra rims are $129 each - 17x8 or the
98 Cobras (look like R's) 17x8 are $129., 17x9 R's are $179 and 2001 cobra R 18's are $205. Best prices I've found.
