99 Explorer
Hello to all, new user `bout to pull my hair out! 1999 explorer, just had the front cover off to install the guide and tensioner. Done one at a time to insure nothing moved on me. very light noise from the cover area. DID NOT loosen the jackshaft bolt or move any chain gears in any way just installed the guide and tensioner. reinstalled the front cover and bal. now the eng spins like its out of time. is this possible with out removing any of the timing components? like I said all i installed was the primary guide and pri. tensioner. I have fire, and have fuel @the rail,I have checked and I have crank sensor ref. (rpm) while cranking. next step I guess is a comp. check. What am I looking at here? could it be out of time somehow, or am I looking at a PATS problem ( battery was without power for a couple of days)I know my way around fairly well But Im stumped on this one. Any help would be much appreciated.
