I just bought a 99 Mountaineer off a friend i work with. When i tested the vehicle it ran great with no noises or anything that i noticed. Well i've had it for 2 weeks now and i am noticing a Grinding noise comming from the front end. Not sure what it is but it only happens when i am coasting with my foot off the gas. As soon as i give it a little gas it does it again. The vehicle runs smoothly at any speed and doesn't pull or shake. I'm not sure what the issue is but a friend of mine said it could be wheel bearings? Of course i think its the transfer case in the front. I hear AWD are notorious for that. Anyway if you have any ideas as to how i can figure this out let me know. Thanks
