Thank you howard for this, now this weekend i can hopfully cheak my electrics on the gearbox.thanks again

that was very informative, but i have a little warning light that says, reset fuel on my dash, but i didnt see it on that schematic, anyone know what that would be for?
thanks jay.

In the passenger footwell, there is the fuel cut off switch, you've managed to knock it down, so you need to pop it back out...

thats very interesting,my gauge isnt lit but wondered what it was for, this switch is it in case of accident, and what does it look like? incase i need to reset it some time in the future.

Overdrive fault

I hope yours is a simple fuse, mine was not even when I had cleaned the blades/swopped fuses etc till exhaustion set in. My gear lever switch did not work and therefore no dash light for o/d. I assumed it was the switch and it became a "one day" repair. To cure another problem (which it didn't) I changed both the GEM and TOD relay
(GEM black box LH side in radio hole and TOD ditto on right side, but a little less visible until the radio surround is removed- two 7mm screws) Lo and behold the switch and thus the light work again with the new units. I have no idea which of them did it. If anyone out there can fathom the electrics for the box/overdrive/4x4 they're a better man than I am.I am still on the hunt for another black box at the back (there's a couple in the LH compartment but which is which?) I should add Ford were no better than me after spending nearly £400 of my money, getting nowhere

thanks howard, your a star,at least i know what to look for if the gauge lights now lol
