Did it work before the transmission was pulled out and put back in?

Oh, no way man. The a/c has never worked. Probably should hav said that. Just wondering the best way to refill. Never done it and hope that works. I see everybody with these a/c porbs and don't even know where to refill at.

The low side service port is located on the accumulator. The black cap unscrews from the valve. I've circled the port in red on both images. If you (or someone else) hasn't converted from R12 to R134a, now might be a good time to get the little "kit" and do it.

If a simple recharge doesn't do the trick, then be prepared to sink some time and money into fixing it. ;)

Effin right on! Thanks! Gonna get on the recharge cause it's already been converted. Hope it works.

If you don't mind me asking, what's the benefit of converting from R12 to R134a? My A/C has never worked either.

One of the main benefits for swapping, is the ability to obtain the 134. R12 has become about as rare as a hardworking man nowdays. Also you have to have a license, just to be able to fill it, so you know right there the mechanics gonna take advantage of that and charge the crap out of you. While, 134 you can get anywhere, including walmart, which is the cheapest.

If you havent swapped and are looking into it, dont waste money at an auto parts store like I did buying the kit. Walmart has the EXACT same kit, for only 30bux. It comes with 3 cans with the oil already mixed in, the new adapter ports, and a DVD for tards like me showing you how to do it, Ill warn you tho, the guy in the DVD is a ******.
