Heater no worky

I blasted mine out with a garden hose this summer and I could not believe the crap tha came out. My truck actually gets too hot now. Mind you my fan motor now has 4 positions for off and only does high.....I'm warm!!

Mine worked fine before but i flushed it beacse it was time and now its too hot its like haveing 7 hairdryers on your face and it can burn your skin allitle if you hold your hand at the vent, love it though works great

If your fan only works on high, you've got a bad resistor module/circuit. It's on the HVAC box right by the blower motor. I can get a pic if you'd like. It's a pretty simple fix. Had to get it from a dealer. Seems like it was like $25.

So i used Valvoline's Super cleaner. Not the flush stuff, but the other stuff you are supposed to run in your cooling system for 3-6 straight hours with straight water.

I did this and CHUNKS of rust came out of the radiator. I kept flushing the system until straight (not-rust brown!) fresh water came out. My heater works like a champ now...

Although, my temp gauge can bearly make it over N now. Its cold here, but coldest is like 25 degrees, so it should get up to the middle, and it was (working) before i super-cleaned the cooling system. Thermostat maybe?

I'm gonna seriously look into that stuff. Sounds like it works wonders.

BTW, how do you guys dispose of used antifreeze? We've put a little bit at a time in the used oil buckets (which we dump at advance auto parts or autozone).

all local laws are different

I dump all my crap at the recylcing center.
