A few questions.

I apologize if this is in the wrong section but I didn't really know where to post this. For the past two months the ride in my 2004 E.B. Explorer has been becoming more and more bumpy to the point I cannot stand it. I have never replaced the shocks or struts on a vehicle and I was wondering what the usually cost for a nice set. If the O.E. ones were worth replacing or what a nicer set would cost. I've got a trip coming up to Colorado and although I do not go crazy off road I do like to take the dirt trail when I can. Past that most if the driving is to work and back.

You probably need to go over the entire suspension, as worn springs/shocks do not typically manifest that quickly or in making the ride too rough. You may have worn ball joints, bushings (especially the swaybars), tie rods, etc.
