This is my first How-to hope you enjoy

Things you will need.
(1) A good friend to teach you how to mount and balance your 31 10.50 you just bought.
(2) An autoshop to do so
(3) About an hour and some money to use a lift bay and the machines.
(4) 4 days of rain

First step is to mount and balance tires of course. Throw the old ones in the back because you can sell them on CList. The next thing you need to do is decide that you and your buddy need to go try the new tires out, by going
threw a couple mud.. i mean sand holes. Splash threw a few shallow puddles on your way to the side trail you know to have a decent test for your new off road mud throwing tires.

Tip for beginners. Don't stop to get anything to drink such as a water or soda, you won't need it you'll just be gone a few minutes right?

Find the hole your buddy says he has been threw a few times and its not that bad.Go ahead and throw it in 4wd just to be sure. The final and the trickiest step, go threw said mud/sand hole, get stuck about mid way because there is a very deep rut on the right side. Ahoy Matey, because you have run a-ground.

Now proceed to call the people you know with the capablity to recover you from the current and might I add badly chosen parking spot.
After sitting on the top of your X for a couple hours lossing about a pint of blood to misquitos the size of small planes. Right here is where not stopping by the store to get a drink was the smart thing to do. Someone finally shows up in a built full size blazer built for off-road. By this time the water should be up over the transmission tunnel. You have your intake taken apart and bungied up so that no water gets in.
Hookup the chain get pulled out.. nothing happens.. you didn't move a single inch. Thats right your in sand no real dirt or mud in sight. Dig out the wheels as best you can. Start your X thats got water within an inch of not going to start. Help your recovery vehicle get you out.
Now your back on the sand road get the water that got in your intake out. so that you X will run long enough for the 10 mile limp back home. Park it in a much better parking spot, your garage. Go to bed because its getting close to 2a.m. and you have been up since 4:30 a.m. Go down in the morning to check out the damage. Oh no! there is a vanilla pudding mess on the floor. Ah this can't be good right? Went to the store got a fresh oil change and Sea Foam engine cleaner. Do the steps clean the engine's internals drain the oil.. oil comes out. But while your down there you notice Milk shake is coming from your now torn inner tie rod boots. So i quick check of the power steering fluid reveals

Now to flush and see what I need to stop the leak
Hope everyone enjoyed the guide

Excellent how-to. Very thorough! lol

 maybe ask your buddy to go through it first next time.

I've used this method before, only I didn't use the larger tires, and it was a foot of rain, and I did it while trying to leave the driveway and road in front of my house.

This method works GREAT for getting the water in your power steering pump though. This was an excellent how-to, only I recommend more pictures next time.

Ok, so now I'm worried about doing this to my power steering pump. Any way to shield the pump? Or seal it better? I'm actually not too sure how they work, but still. I mean, I have no intention of taking this thing swimming, but I like not breaking stuff...I probably have the wrong hobby though haha

His Jeepy was broke at the time only had front wheel drive which should have given me a clue anyway lol

I'm curious myself haha. The cap/dipstick was completely under water i'm not entirely sure how it kept running but it did. "Ford Tuff" i guess. Maybe some duck tape on the day of would work it was invented to keep ammo boxes dry so i'm sure it would do the job for a day?

Plastic bag and a rubber band. Do the same for your tranny and engine dipsticks.

Duct tape works too. It's the Red Green and Mythbusters approved method as a bonus
